Bespoke Services

While our core services and viruses are likely to meet most needs, we know some projects need something out of the ordinary. Therefore, in addition to our standard assays, we also offer a range of bespoke services, ranging from assay optimization to full project management. We work closely with pharma, biotechnology, and academic researchers, and we proud ourselves to deliver custom solutions that meet the needs of each project.

All our bespoke studies are led by a senior scientist, who will follow the project through completion with regular updates and 1-to-1 discussions. Broadly, our bespoke projects include:

Assay adaptation or development: We can adapt any of our core assays to fit a non-standard application, cell type, or virus. Need something more bespoke? Talk to us about developing a novel assay or optimizing a protocol.

Full project management: We can design with you and execute complex or multi-step projects [e.g., an antiviral discovery project including (i) high-throughput screening and (ii) validation, (iii) toxicity, and (iv) mode-of-action studies], including projects that might involve additional subcontracting (e.g., medicinal chemistry, animal work).

Technical support and consultancy: We will always be able to add value to a project. Get the benefit of our experience with multiple virus families and molecular and cell biology techniques.

Grant applications and fellowships: VRS is happy to assist you in the process of writing, designing, and planning experiments also for funding applications. We offer this service free of charge and provide prices for the planned experiments should your project win funding. We can also act as a project partner and provide letters of support and feasibility assessments.

Our core values are speed, accuracy, and simplicity.

If you wish to contact us, we will be glad to answer any questions you may have and discuss your ideas. Contact us about your project
